Fast chess Super fast chess World Championship will fight -- Ju Wenjun Tan Zhongyi led the fight

The 2023 World Chess Fast and Super Fast Championships will kick off on December 26 in the historic city of Samarkand in Uzbekistan. A total of 16 players from the Chinese Chess Association participated in the tournament, including the current World chess champion Ju Wenjun and the last Fast chess World champion Tan Zhongyi.

The time limit for this year's Fast chess World Championship is 15 minutes per side, with 10 seconds added to each move. There are 13 rounds of Swiss points for the men and 11 rounds of Swiss points for the women. The time limit for the Super Fast Chess World Championship is 3 minutes per side, plus 2 seconds per move. The men's group consists of 21 rounds of Swiss points and the women's group consists of 17 rounds of Swiss points. If there is a tie for first place, the winner will be determined through an extra round.

A total of more than 200 players participated in the men's group, including Yu Yangyi, Lu Shanglei, Xu Xiangyu, Xiu Deshun, Bai Jin Shi, Zeng Sheng Sheng and Xue Haowen, seven players from the Chinese Chess Association. There are more than 120 players in the women's group, including nine players from the Chinese Chess Association: Ju Wenjun, Tan Zhongyi, Lei Tingjie, Zhu Jiner, Ni Shiqun, Zhai Mo, Zhao Shengxin, Lu Miaoyi and Yan Tianqi.

The men's competition will be gathered, the last fast chess and super fast chess World Championship double champion, Norwegian Carlsen will strive to defend the title. In addition, Russian player Nepomnyac, Polish player Duda, French player Vashel Laglav, American player Caruana and other players are strong contenders for the title.
In the fast chess World Championship, the top three women's ranking points are Chinese players, respectively, the current world champion Ju Wenjun, former world champion Tan Zhongyi, and the current women's world runner-up Lei Tingjie. Among them, Tan Zhongyi won the champion of the women's group in the last fast chess World Championship, and she also won the fourth place in the women's group of the last Super Fast chess World Championship.

In addition, new Chinese player Zhu Jiner, Swiss veteran Kostenyuk, Russian players Goryatchkina and Ragno, Kazakhstan players Saduakasova and Asaubayeva and other famous players also participated in the women's group.

According to the competition schedule, the first round of the Fast chess World Championship will be contested in the afternoon of December 26, local time.
