The game of backgammon
Backgammon's predecessor was among the oldest games played as early as 3000 BC. The ancient Romans played a game called Ludus Duodecim Scriptorum (Twelve Lines), which was similar or similar to modern backgammon and is still popular in the eastern Mediterranean countries today.
Backgammon for two. The board is divided into four parts, or four regions. Each part is marked alternately with black and white with 6 narrow wedge areas or small points. A vertical line called a boundary divides the board into inner and outer areas. One side plays 15 white pieces and the other 15 black pieces. Both sides move their pieces from their inner zone (also known as their zone) from one point to another in the opposite direction according to the number of points displayed on their dice. The points displayed by the two dice can be used to move two pieces separately, or they can be added together to move one piece. If it is correct (the dice shows two identical numbers), double the calculation; For example, two 6 points should be counted as four 6 points.
Outcome call
When a stronghold is occupied by two or more pieces of the same color, the point is "occupied", and the other side cannot enter. If there is only a single piece on a stronghold, this piece is an "exposed piece" that is "attacked" by opposing pieces that land on the stronghold. If attacked, the "exposed piece" must be taken out and placed on the border, and when it is the turn of the side to move, it must be "put back" before the other pieces can be moved. The so-called "put back", that is, according to the number of dice thrown to put the chess piece back to the empty point of the other side's inner area.
After either side has sent all 15 pieces to the area, it can move the pieces to a dummy point outside the board boundary according to the roll of the dice, which is called "bearing off". The first one to get all 15 pieces off the board wins. If the losing team has at least one piece out of the game, the game is a single win. If the losing team does not leave the board, the opponent is awarded a double score; If the losing team still leaves a piece in the winning team's area, the opponent is called backgammon, and three times the score is required.
