Why are the opening names of Chinese chess very warm, while the opening names of chess are names of people and places, and do not know what they are talking about?

Let me analyze it from the perspective of language first.

Chess is a game that originated in India but is popular in Europe. The characteristics of European flexion language are quite different from our Chinese isolated language. The important feature of inflected language is that compared with Chinese, it is "less literary and more practical".

It would be too much to say that European languages are unliterary.  One of the reasons for this is that inflected languages cannot be randomly combined to create new words like isolated languages, but can only be pieced together according to the law of word formation, and the freedom is greatly reduced.

Therefore, the European language can not appear "fairy guide" this idiom (strictly speaking, it can not be regarded as an idiom, but this combination reflects the freedom of Chinese word formation), if the soldier seven into one as the first step, the European language will call it "left soldier opening" or "rear wing soldier opening" and so on. This is a practical example of European languages (only inflections).

Then there is another difference, which is the nature of the layout naming.

For example, the opening name of "fairy guide" or "when the cannon" can be formed by only one move of the red side. The opening of chess is usually a move by the black and white side, or several moves to become a serious opening name. For example, the French defense and the Carocon defense of this pair of opening, are each taking 2 steps to form a fixed soldier situation to be called complete. Of course, there are also some openings where the first move of the white side can form the opening, such as "England's opening" or "Rieti's opening", because their first move is too obvious, and the possibility of forming other changes is not high.

But even so, when we talk about various chess openings, we often comment on its opening when the game is resumed at the end of the game, generally speaking, we should use specific moves to explain the first few steps, and then we can say that a certain opening is used, rather than looking at the first step to directly say the name of the opening. Because after the first move, the white side often does not see what the opening is.

In general, the name of the chess opening does not reflect the appearance of the military situation, and it is not image. Learners need to memorize the basic structure of the various openings in order to distinguish them. At this point, the common name of Chinese chess is more vivid. However, as some other interviewees have said, the "artistic names" of those openings in Chinese chess are not serious names, and the serious names are also described according to the chess spectrum of the moves, which seems to be less concise than chess.
